- Continuing today, a multi-day heavy rainfall event will
continue along a frontal boundary that will be lifting back
north into Arkansas, eventually stalling over northern and
western Arkansas tonight. While this boundary may drift
northwest or southeast each day across the state, multiple
rounds of heavy thunderstorms are expected to drop 6 to 10
inches of rain across much of the flood watch area. Isolated
pockets of 12 to 15 inches of rain are also possible,

Highway 33 north of Augusta. Portions of State Highway 262 begin
to flood and levees south of Augusta towards McClelland should be

Woodruff counties.

small tributaries at their confluence with the Little River such
as the Cossatot and the Rolling Fork Rivers.

evacuated. Thousands of acres of lowland in the Little River flood
plain will be flooded and several secondary roads and bridges will
be cut off.

- Periods of showers and thunderstorms will remain possible
today through Saturday night across Northeast Texas,
Southeast Oklahoma, and Southwest Arkansas, near a stationary
front. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible, with

inches possible with isolated higher amounts. As grounds
continue to saturate, these totals may result in flash
flooding across the Watch area.
