The following message is transmitted at the request of the
Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center.

The Gallatin NF Avalanche Center in Bozeman has issued a
BACKCOUNTRY AVALANCHE WARNING for the following areas:

* WHAT...The Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center is issuing
an avalanche warning. The avalanche danger is HIGH on all
slopes. Natural and human-triggered slides are very likely.

* WHERE...The mountains near Island Park, West Yellowstone and Cooke City.

* WHEN...In effect until Mon 05:30 AM MST.

* IMPACTS...Heavy snowfall on a snowpack with unstable weak layers
will make human triggered avalanches very likely.

* PRECAUTIONARY / PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Very dangerous avalanche
conditions exist. Backcountry travelers should stayoff steep
slopes and away from the bottom of steep slopes. Avalanches can
be triggered from flat terrain. Steep slopes can avalanche far
above and run into lower-angled terrain.
