strong winds and falling snow may result in locally reduced

Headline: Special Weather Statement issued June 10 at 3:26AM MDT by NWS Great Falls MT
Description: Periods of wet snow will impact the East Glacier Park region
above 5,000 feet today as a cold weather system moves through the
area. Accumulating snow is most likely at elevations above 6000
feet, where 2 to 4 inches of snow is expected with isolated higher
amounts over the peaks. The best chances for wet snow with little
or no accumulation at elevations below 6000 feet is this morning.

Those heading into the backcountry and higher elevations should
prepare for winter-like conditions. An elevated risk will exist
for hypothermia.

Description: Widespread snow will impact the Glacier Park region above 5,000
feet tonight through Wednesday as a cold system moves through the
area. Confidence is high for accumulating snow, with most areas
seeing at least 2 to 4 inches of snow above 5,000 feet. Isolated
snow amounts up to 12 inches will impact higher mountain peaks
above 6,000 feet.

Those heading into the backcountry and higher elevations should
prepare for winter-like conditions. An elevated risk will exist
for hypothermia.
